What is the coverage of the radio station?
The Satellite can be heard from Greenland all the way to China
and from Finland and Siberia all the way to North Africa.
At the edge of the coverage area you will need a larger dish to
be able to receive the broadcast. The majority of your listeners
in the footprint can receive the station with a standard size
75cm dish.
Who will listen to the radio station?
Eurobird 9 is co-hosted with Hotbird 6,7,8. The satellites are
located at 2 different positions close together so that all of
them can be picked up with a dual LNB making it possible to
receive all four satellites. In total there are over 2000 TV and
Radio services at this position.
On Eurobird 9 there are approximately 200 television channels and
approximately 20 radio stations. There is some programming for
most countries available on Eurobird 9. This means that potentially
there will be people from 70 nations and a population of
approximately 1 billion listening to your broadcast on the Angel
of Faith Satellite Outreach.
Are satellite systems common in Europe, Middle East and Africa?
Yes, they certainly are. In Europe, the Middle East and Africa
broadcasting used to be severely controlled by governments. The
arrival of private television and radio stations more or less
came with the beginning of satellite broadcasting. Cable
networks were introduced in most European countries in the late
80s and 90s. Most of them are expensive and only offer a limited
choice of channels. In the Middle East and Africa the only
alternative to the government controlled media is satellite
television and radio.
A satellite system will cost as much or less than a small colour
television set. This is well within the means of the average
household.
To obtain a glimpse of how popular satellite television is all
you have to do is access Google Earth via the Internet, zoom in
at an average city in Europe or the Middle East and the little
white dots you will see are primarily satellite dishes on
residential and commercial buildings.
What do I need to do to listen to the Angel of Faith Broadcasts?
There are two ways to listen to the ministries on the Angel of Faith Satellite
Outreach:
1. On the Internet:
Click on the 'Listen Now' link. The output via the
Internet is different than the output via the satellite radio
station. All our ministries which are played on the satellite
radio station are queued and put in a loop on our Internet
stream. So the program will repeat every couple of hours.
2. On the satellite:
- you need to live within the coverage area
- you need to have a dish and a digital satellite receiver
- Your dish needs to be pointing to 9 degrees East along the
geostationary satellite
orbit
- you need to scan the transponders on EB9
- select 'Radio' on your remote control and tune to Radio Eden
which carries the
Angel of Faith programming

Germany
Germany is in the centre of the broadcast area.
There are about 80 million people in Germany.
Established churches have lost a lot of members over
the last generation. Many Germans born since the 70s
have never heard the message of the Gospel.

Angel of
Faith is one of the few Christian stations reaching
all of the country via Satellite Radio.
